Individual, play, couples, and family therapy
I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor (LCSW-S) providing therapy in Texas and Utah. I specialize in working with children, teens, and families, including children as young as 3 years old. Using play, art, and other age-appropriate approaches, I help clients process emotions, navigate challenges, and build skills that support long-term growth. I am also EMDR trained.
Individual Therapy
Individual psychotherapy is a powerful tool for growth and healing. I use approaches including EMDR, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and more, each designed to help a client gain insight, develop coping skills, and make positive changes. I strive to ensure that each client recognizes they are supported and heard.
What individual therapy can help with
Anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, stress management, self-esteem and body dysmorphia, trauma, attachment issues, behavioral problems, and emotion regulation. Individual therapy is a one-on-one 50 minute session, offered from ages 3 to 100, in a safe place to discuss, feel, and heal at your own pace.
Play Therapy
Play therapy uses play as a means of communication and expression for children. It is a research-based approach designed to help children work through emotional, behavioral, and social difficulties. It is typically used best for children ages 3–12, but can also be used with adolescents and adults. Sessions take place in a playroom equipped with toys, art supplies, and other materials, and may include puppets, sand tray therapy, art therapy, and storytelling.
Goals of play therapy
The goal is to help children develop emotion regulation, coping skills, and social skills, and to build resilience, increase self-esteem, and improve overall well-being. Play therapy is beneficial for anxiety, depression, trauma, autism and ADHD, behavioral issues, and family conflict.
Couples Therapy
Couples therapy focuses on improving the relationship between two people: helping couples understand each other and their conflicts, communicate more effectively, and build a stronger, healthier partnership. It can help with communication, trust issues, infidelity, parenting and family conflicts, disconnection, codependency, and more.
How couples therapy works
We work as a team to identify goals and plans to achieve them. We gather information, determine both strengths and weaknesses in the partnership, and come up with plans to improve overall connection and communication.
Family Counseling
Family counseling is part of the work I do with children, teens, and families, alongside individual and couples counseling. Call or email to talk about what would help your family.
